Dr. Zha

Dr. Zha was almost certainly a doctor of Rebecca's during the first year of her life in China, since she has been the clinic doctor at the Social Welfare Institute in Fuling since 2001, and is believed to have seen all of the children who have been adopted from Fuling. A recent email from Fuling Kids International described her compelling story as follows: Dr. Zha was a doctor at the hospital in Fuling and saw some of the earliest babies at the orphanage, as they would be taken to the hospital for treatment for exposure and other ailments. Dr. Zha volunteered to work at the then fledgling orphanage in order to help the babies more quickly. Within a few months, she was offered the job of clinic doctor there and stayed. During the last few years she has been tending to children with disabilities. Their situation has so moved her she began taking therapy training in Chongqing.
