Janelle shot this video of the three couples of our travel group receiving our babies for the first time. First you'll see shots of Janelle and Edmund receiving Samantha, and then shots of us, Steve and Catherine with Rebecca, and shots of Melanie and Charlie with Luke. Thanks, Janelle, for sharing this video!

First Meeting Rebecca (Monday, March 5, 2007)

Rebecca has really been feeling the jet lag and the strangeness of this new world compared to home in China. The good news is that nurse Christine at the International Adoption Center has her on a new schedule that seems to be working! We all began to get some rest last night (Tuesday night). Folks tell us that it may take a full two weeks or so for our baby to begin to feel at home and safe in this new world. She's 11 months old, but for now we have to consider her about 5 days old, according to Christine.
