Joy!

We see our referral at 3pm tomorrow!

She is a beautiful, healthy baby girl, whose Chinese name is You Fu Xuan

Born: March 30, 2006

Location in China: She is in the Social Welfare Institution of Fuling, in Fuling District, Chongqing Municipality, Peoples Republic of China.

Fuling is situated along the Yangtze (or Changjiang) River in what until the late 20th century was part of Sichuan Province but is now the Chongqing Municipality, an autonomous region set apart to accomodate the construction of the Three Gorges Dam Project. Sichuan is known for its fertile earth, generous growing season and mountainous inaccessibility (until recently) to the rest of the world. Many Sichuanese call their province "Heaven on Earth," because of its food and beauty.

Referrals Arriving in Europe!

The Rumor Queen!RQ is reporting that referrals arrived in Europe today and that several US agencies are saying that they expect them here in the US tomorrow. The referrals go well past our own log-in date, so we should be included. Is our purgatory finally over??

Once our referral finally does arrive here at the Barker Agency in Bethesda, it will have to be faxed for translation over night. That would mean we would get to see it at Barker sometime on Thursday (if all this holds up).
