Disappointment

CCAA updated while we slept, and we are sad to report that the news is disappointing. CCAA made it through only 14 days of applications bringing them up only to September 8, 2005 log-in applications. That is 4 days shy of our own log-in date of September 12, 2005. The only spark of good news in this is that it is almost certain that we will be included in the next batch of referrals, which should be here this time next month (December). We should be traveling to China in late February or early March. Of course, that is well after my sabbatical is over and right in the midst of my spring teaching! ---SLC
I awoke this morning to go to work and Steve said there was disappointing news--no referral. Also, we will no longer be able to go to Hawaii which was a dream of a lifetime for me. The whole process has been draining. Tonight we are going to Movie Magic to learn how to make a video for our child or children. It is being done by a father of two from Korea! ---CEC

Photo from Barker-China Potluck Last Month

Nice new photo of all the babies on the couch at our Barker Potluck held back on 10/21/06 in Arlington.

We are all hoping that the next batch of referrals from China will come through this coming week. The rumors are that people will be very pleased with how far the CCAA gets. Will we be included???
